I will never step into this pub as long as i live. Went there for an afters of a christening last weekend Feb 2010 and they refused me and my family a drink after being there only an hour saying we were drunk and falling around the place which was ridiculous, they gave no warning anyway as normal bar staff would if people are bit loud place was quiet anyway. the staff particular the manager was igornant and rude. i just dont think they like business there in general they should be taken over. the chinese is lovely but ill nvr go in there either due to cumiskeys.

Would not step foot in this pub again in a million years, bar staff very rude, in particular the manager. At a family Christening in there recently and were informed no more drinks were being served (at 8.30pm),treated extremely badly. Avoid.

food a hit and miss affair,some of the barmen should learn how to deal with the public. Not a patch on other pubs in the area.

Judt another overpriced suburban boozer. Pint can be hit and miss in the bar. No A/C in the bar either. Can be very warm and (smelly) sometimes..(toilet problems). Midweek session drinking almost gone, thanks to high prices and surly customers & (sometimes barpersons !!!). Still worth a visit if you want to spend 4.25 for a pint or 5.20 for a large bt cider.

"Dennis" is the only barman fit to serve in "Neds" and as for the smell of gange (is that how its actually spelled...I wouldnt know since i never touch the stuff myself) Anyway its a great pub with great craic once you dont get attacked while smoking outside by the passing kiddies!! Will be back....tomorrow!!

Used to drink there regularly. Sub standard pint is overpriced and I understand the barfood has gone downhill aswell. Its a great pity, could be great boozer (again)..

Never to return.

This is my local pub unfortuntely, Food is a bit hit and miss, you might go on a good day if you're lucky. Whatever you do, don't ask for the onions and mushrooms if you're not having steak from the carvery or the chef will have a stand up argument with you!! The chinese upstairs is lovely though as far as i know it's under different ownership.The pint's alright but again you might be lucky and it'l be great!! They have a tendency to give you a flat pint and arent very obliging if you dare to complain. overall i really wouldn't recommend the place but as it's so close i havent really got a choice!!

Cumiskeys or "Neds" as us locals call it is without the best pub on the junction of blackhorse ave and baggot rd. The staff (well mainly the female staff) are great and often found to be very obliging. The departure of the friendliest manager ever to grace this pub has come as a great shock to all. We will miss you!! Black arm bands are available in the bar.

As a regular drinker here I think the last few ratings are a bit over the top. Since a lot of the bar staff have changed since most of these reviews were written, I find the current bar staff really friendly and very courtious. Drop in and find out for yourself.

A dull and souless joint with no music and the surliest bar staff i have EVER encountered.Leave it to the old men but it used to be good.Seems like managemne have driven a lot of people away.

Rudest bar staff and particularly bar manager a pub could possibly find, made to feel most unwelcome. It's a pity because under the last ownership this was a great local with great food.

Extremely rude staff. NOT a football friendly pub, although they do show it!!! If you order food, chances are you'll get something you didn't order. Has gone down hill over the years!
